Strategic Church

A Strategic Church is a large model church that is planted in one of the world’s 300 megacities, where the population exceeds 1 million people. These churches will be planted only with the spiritual sons of Surge’s global apostolic team, who will also provide coaching and oversight as the church is planted.

The goal for every Strategic Church is to grow to 1,000 members within five years, and to become a center for training new workers and sending them into the church’s surrounding areas to completely evangelize a region. One such church pioneered by Rick Zachary in Nepalgunj, Nepal has grown to over 600 in weekly attendance and has planted over 125 churches of its own! The cost to plant a Strategic Church is $100,000. This investment will support the church’s launch team and help to secure adequate facilities and equipment for the new church as it grows. The investment is indeed substantial, but the Kingdom harvest from a Strategic Church has proven to be equally substantial.
