Significant Church

Surge connects resources to native workers who have been trained by and are accountable to one of our global team members. This money allows the worker to be sent out from his base to the area where he has been called to plant a church. These churches are planted in often extremely remote areas where little to no gospel witness is available.

A Significant Church is a village church planted by such a worker. He does not need language training, and can live comfortably according to the culture of the people to whom he ministers. We support this pastor for twelve months as he builds his congregation, and remove the support when the time comes, as scaffolding is removed when the construction process is complete. As the believers are matured as disciples and tithers, the church becomes self-sustaining and often multiplies to more church plants.
