This Is How Movements Start–Surge Training Recap

I am constantly amazed at how God continues to use your support to carry the Gospel all over the world. February’s Surge trainings in Latin America were nothing short of a demonstration of that. We saw hundreds of pastors gather in Peru, Honduras, and Brazil to be trained in church planting and equipped in their calling.

This was an opportunity for leaders like Pastor Tiago, a 32-year-old Surge church planter from Brazil, to find the encouragement needed to continue his ministry. After giving up a comfortable business career to obey God and plant a church in a neglected and impoverished favela, he became discouraged after battling 6 months of church planting and personal trials.

Within that time, he and his wife also lost their baby during pregnancy. He came to our training broken. Our training is so much more than teaching principles that help church planters succeed. It’s a time of spiritual renewal and genuine relationship. God did a miraculous restorative work in Pastor Tiago’s heart. At the end of our 3 days together, he left with a new zeal to fulfill his calling and not give up. It was truly a redemptive work of the Holy Spirit. His story is one of many similar stories from these faithful leaders.

Telling you how powerfully God moved wouldn’t do it justice, so take one minute to watch the recap from the Brazil training below.

The training wasn’t just for pastors facing challenges. Pastor Carlos Eduardo has seen his church grow from a small group meeting to well over 1,000 people. Check out his story on how the Surge training equipped him to reach even more.

God is raising up church leaders all over the world to win their nations. Your partnership is vital to equipping these leaders to effectively deliver the message of the gospel. Thank you!
