“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” ‭‭- Romans‬ ‭12:12‬ (ESV).

‬Romans gives us clear instructions on how we ought to respond to virtually any situation that arises in life. Whether you are in a season of harvest or a season of tribulation, here are 3 things I’ve learned about maintaining victory in Christ:

Praise. Rejoice in hope - Get your praise on! Look to heaven. Spend some time each day getting your dance on. You will be amazed how praise and refocusing on your future in heaven can recalibrate your life and release your greatest potential.

Patience. Be patient in tribulation - Stand on the Word. Agree with other believers. Get to the altar and seek God. Don’t speak out of bitterness toward God or anyone else. Walk in patience. The tribulation will come, but your response determines everything!

Prayer. Be constant in prayer - Take everything to God. Pray in the Spirit. Make it an hour of prayer each week with other believers. Don’t hesitate to ask for prayer from spiritual leaders. Make God your “go-to” person… not your old friend from high school and certainly not social media!

Takeaway: When you read these 3 simple things are you convicted like me? Do you have a habit of praise? Do you show patience in the face of tribulation? Do you remain constant in prayer? When we face hard times it is always good to come back to the basics. Praise! Persevere! Pray!
